I believe in: Successful user means a successful business.
Design education, creative problem-solving aptitude, and design thinking style have built muscle memory for best practices of the UX design profession.
I lead by example and believe in ‘design is learning by doing’. So, UX leader must be a hands-on UX expert. And empathy is the key for any design that makes an impact on human life.I believe that by using empathy, we can create mindful and delightful experiences for users. Everybody who interacts with you and your idea is your user. I enjoy enacting the user scenarios to be empathetic with users and that helps in reaching the design solution faster and better.
I lead multiple UX teams in my current UX leadership role at Cognizant. My main effort goes into deriving UX strategy for the project at client organization by listening to stories from stakeholders and getting insights from data as an initial step. Then, I follow UX process, design thinking method to build on initial ideas to drive the project for larger goals. Most of the projects, I prefer to create persona, user journeys and ‘job to be done’ (JTBD) technique to evolve design solutions. Then I encourage teams to iterate on solutions to keep the track of improvements and innovation possibilities through regular cadence. Also, I lead one project on the ground right from initial problem definition, requirement understanding till the final release of the product to end-users to get initial feedback.
